October Half Term 2025 is coming up fast.
If you are planning to visit The Lake District, then now is the time to think about booking an adventure in the outdoors - that's what The Lake District is famous for!
We will be running one of our famous Navigation Skills Training Weekends during October 25th & 26th. So if you are coming to the area and are hoping to spend the week fell-walking but feel you lack the necessary skills to use a map & compass then this course is for you.
For just £90.00 for the weekend course (Yes - you did read correctly!) You can join in with others and in a relaxed but real setting, learn about how to interpret information on the map. You'll also learn how to measure & pace distance , take & walk on a compass bearing and find grid references plus much more! Maps are provided as part of the fee, you'll need a Silva Type 4 Expedition Compass or you can hire them from use for just £5 per day.

Ghyll Scrambling/Gorge Walking
at a number of locations around The Lake District. Stickle Ghyll is one of the best!
Canyoneering at three venues in The Lake District such as Church Beck at Coniston.
Kayaking on five of the area's lakes - Windermere, Coniston, Ullswater, Derwentwater.

Equipment We provide wetsuits, cagoules, and buoyancy aids for Kayaing & Canoeing and in addition to these - for Ghyll Scrambling & Canyoneering: helmets, harneses & walking boots all as part of the fee per person.

Caving adventures in The Yorkshire Dales - join us on a trip underground to explore what can be found below the Limestone Pavement in The Yorkshire Dales. Long Churns is a great introduction to caving.
Beginner's Rock Climbing Sessions - in The Lake District National Park. Try Rock Climbing outdoors in complete safety - it's better than being on a climbing wall! Lower Scout Crag is a great place to try Outdoor Rock Climbing for the first time.
Scrambling on rock - find the really fun & exhilarating way to get to the top of our mountains by scrambling up routes such as the famous Jack's Rake.
Guided walking days - want to explore the beauty of The Lake District National park without wanting to worry about finding your own way around? Let us guide you around some of the areas most beautiful valleys or up our highest mountains.
