A fantastic day of rock climbing and ghyll scrambling, made so under the careful guidance and expert support provided by Iain. Such a quality day out, for two active children aged 12 and 14 and their mum who struggles to keep up!!
Unlike other providers, we had Iain’s professional guidance all to ourselves, safety was paramount and Iain was quick to work out each of our strengths and abilities. I really appreciated the walking boots provided for the ghyll scrambling. Thanks so much for our extreme Gorge walking/Canyoning experience for my 2 boys and I.

Had an absolutely incredible day climbing and getting an introduction to lead/trad climbing with Iain at upper scout crag, beautiful spot and some great routes. Iain is a great teacher and very comfortable on the rock which helped me feel more at ease through some of the more scary bits. I would definitely book with Iain again if/when I go back for more climbing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day navigation skills training course on weekend of 30th April and 1st May 2022. We were blessed with good weather on day 1 whilst learning the techniques and challenged putting them into practice on day 2 when it rained most of the day, which enabled us to learn how to navigate in misty conditions. Iain was a very patient coach, happy to repeat any instructions and demonstrate techniques until we grasped it and was very mindful of our safety and comfort throughout the days. We learnt a lot, had a great 2 days and will enjoy confidently navigating open access land we hope many times in the future. This is an excellent course and great value for money. Thank you Iain

We had a fantastic day ghyll scrambling with Iain in Glenridding. We were two families with four boys aged 9 and 13. Despite the freezing cold water, we all had a fantastic time and were well looked after by Iain. Really liked the fact that it was just us in the group and all the equipment was provided, even footwear. The hot chocolate at the end was a nice touch too! Would highly recommend. We’ll definitely be booking another session when we next return to the Lakes.
