I was on this trip and have got to say that the views from Sgurr Alasdair were amazing! This is a well managed week and I would highly recommend it. Iain is very experienced which helped us keep safe but still pack in as much as possible. Both the younger and older members of the group were up to the challenge and got on great. The cottage also created a relaxed place to enjoy some cracking food! Well worth the money!

I went along on this trip too, safe to say it was a spectacular week. We were blessed with some really good weather later on in the days which resulted in some impressive views that we were guided to by Iain's thorough knowledge of the ridge. The layout of the week, staying in a cottage, made the fact that you didn't know each other much more relaxed, the evenings spent in the pub helped as well. I would definitely recommend this week to everyone!

Just want to say that if you are thinking of doing the Cuillin you should definitely consider KMS. Iain is a fantastic guy, his knowledge of the Cuillin is amazing and he provided me and the rest of the party with a fabulous week in Skye including the 4 days on the Cuillin. I'd also just like to add he makes a bloody mean chilli too.

Thanks Iain for a fabulous weekend. My sons Jamie, Peter and I am amazed at what we learned in two days. The course was way beyond our expectations and we are definitely more confident now to attempt hill walks knowing where we are and how to get to where we want in safety. Thanks also for all the local history and nature info. we gleaned on our walks. Also thanks again Ian for rescuing Peters Boot from the car park after we drove off and left it!!

We had an absolutely brilliant day caving in Yorkshire with Ian. He has vast knowledge and experience which is both inspiring and reassuring. He really knows what he is doing, is great company and reads people very well. I ended up achieving far more than I ever would have imagined and would thoroughly recommend Ian as a teacher and a leader.

I took part in a scrambling course that was booked for 6 people, all members of the Cambridge University Hillwalking Club. Iain and Scott took 2 groups of 3 people each, the first day near Glenridding, and the second day, near Langdale in the Lake District. We spent 2 days learning how to scramble safely, using rope techniques. Iain was a very interesting and patient instructor, and we learnt a great deal with him, and in a safe way. I highly recommend this course!

Iain took a team of us Ghyll Scrambling at Seatoller in the Lake District. We were all completely new to Ghyll Scrambling and as a team, we had never met one another before.

With his tuition and guidance throughout the day, Iain helped us to bond with one another and by the end of a fantastic session we were a proper team with some great memories that will stick with us for years to come.

I would highly recommend a Ghyll Scramble with Kendal Mountaineering Services to anyone and I would love to do it all over again!

Many thanks for your guidance up Scafell Pike last Saturday, we would have been lost with out you, given the weather conditions were dreadful, and map reading would have been testing given the low cloud cover. Would highly recommend.

We had a half day climbing course with Iain in the Langdales. It was brilliant. He is an excellent instructor and guide. We learnt a lot and I felt we were in very safe hands. If you want to climb and you need a guide it”s so hard find the right person. We hit the jackpot with Iain and I would highly recommend him to all standards of climbers, children and adults. I have been on mountaineering trips to the Alps and Scottish Winter Mountaineering courses with different adventure companies, Iain outshines them all. We will definitely be calling him when we come to the Lakes again next year. Thank you Iain

Had a great afternoon ghyll scrambling near Langdale with Iain, my children thought it was amazing & the scenes where beautiful! I would recommend everyone doing this, it was a active but fun day with my family. We will be trying another course next time we visit the lakes! Thanks Iain
